		<description><![CDATA[This is absolutely true. My own experience demonstrates that people have no problem using the term &quot;research&quot;, or &quot;scientific study&quot; when nothing of the sort has ever taken place. 

In my own industry, I often hear that some scale has been subjected to &quot;validation&quot; when in fact, the people who are stating this don&#039;t actually know what it means. Sadly, in the absence of regulation, it is a buyer beware situation. The only way to fix this is to make sure someone on the purchasing team has background in organizational science. Otherwise, we might just be purchasing snake oil with a clever branding campaign.]]></description>
